the annual mugwort
Artémisia
traditional chinese medecine
recently used Artemisia
annua, this Asian variety of mugwort, to treat coronavirus disease. In Madagascar, it is an herbal tea
made from this medecinal plant
that is put forward by President Andry Rajoelina himself, as being a solution to treat Covid-19. Many African countries are struggling, while the World Health Organization (WHO) and some advocates of this plant known to treat malaria, call for tests to definitively settle the question of its possible effectiveness on Covid -19. Artémisia annua
: from the borders of China to the lands of East Africa There are nearly 400
species of artemesia
in the world, but there is one that calls out in regions where
malaria
is still rife, especially the African continent: Artemisia annua (Artemisia annua L, its scientific Latin name, mugwort annual in French). The species, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) website, "derives its name from the fact that it is the only member of the genus to exhibit an annual cycle." The annual mugwort is an aromatic green plant, glabrous or with scattered leaves, the size of which is between 30 cm and 1 m, when it grows naturally. Cultivated, it can reach 2 m in height.
